House of Dior

For the 70th anniversary of House of Dior, the Musée des Arts Décoratif is having an absolutely stunning exhibition where you'll discover some of Christian Dior & his successors' most beautiful creations.

I had heard it was a beautiful exhibition, but I was not expecting it to be that great! The tour starts with some historical stuff and pictures/illustrations about the haute couture house. A lot of pieces (jewellery, shoes, head pieces, etc.) are exposed behind a glass wall. The atmosphere is very dark and intriguing, putting emphasis on all the beautiful creations, and building curiosity. The more you explore, the more gorgeous it becomes: including an enchanting tree garden, and a breathtaking ballroom. I can usually be skeptical when I see fashion creations, but this time was the total opposite. Each and every single dress there is a piece of art.

I highly recommend visiting to experience this magical atmosphere!

The museum is open from 11am to 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday. It is also open until 9pm on Thursdays, which is helpful if you'd like to visit the museum after work. Admission fee for the exhibition is €13, and it's only available until Jan. 8, 2018.
