Mussels & Fries
I have been to Brussels on multiple occasions since my godmother lives in Belgium. It's not that far from Paris - 3.5 hour car ride or 1.5 hour train ride - so that makes a pretty good weekend getaway if you live in Paris or if you are travelling to multiple destinations around Europe. You can totally spend 1 or 2 days in Brussels and see a bunch of stuff!
Here's a list of things to see while you're in Brussels
Grand Place - where the town hall is located. This place is gorgeous and surrounded by old historical buildings.
Manneken Pis - an iconic bronze statue of a boy peeing (don't ask me why, I don't know lol).
Churches - the main one being St. Gudula Cathedral, but there are many churches around the city.
The Royal Palace - the official palace of the King and the Queen of Belgium.
Atomium - a landmark built in 1958 for Brussels World's Fair.
Now a few things to eat while you're in Brussels
Mussels
Fries
Chocolate - definitely my favourite, they have so many good brands there - a must!
Waffles
Beer - I'm not a big fan of beer, but I must admit they make some pretty good ones :)
*When I went in 2013, there was an ephemeral event sponsored by the liquor Cointreau - the Cointreau Fizz Garden. The team had renovated an old bank and transformed it into an enchanting flower garden, pretty epic!
